Owl in Love

This is based off of the Original Owl pen and ink i did a couple weeks back, My girlfriend really like the way it looked and her birthday was coming up so I decided to do a cute watercolor and ink drawing on a piece of bristol board i had laying around. Here is the end result. This piece has been completed for weeks though i'm posting it up so late because I wanted it to be a surprise for her. I feel like the background didn't turn out the way i'd have liked it but overall i'm still excited about how it turned out.

Newest in the Pokemon series

this is probably the last of the pokemon stencil series i'm probably going to do for a while. It's starting to feel like i'm beating a dead horse with all of the pokemon i have done this year. I'll probably make a couple more of these ones to sell but, going to lay off and focus on my watercoloring projects and pen and ink stuff. Enjoy the Jigglypuff. This one went to Andrea, my friend's wife, who has been asking for this for over a year. I finally sat down and worked on this about a week before her birthday. She was very excited when she got this and pretty much found a spot in their living room and hung it up right away.  Always happy with my art finds a good home.

Sad Clowns

WARNING!!!! If you dislike clowns, don't read or look any further!

Okay now that we have that out of the way, I've been in this crazy Sad/angry clowns kick for like 2 months. Something about drawing someone sad that is supposed to be happy intrigues me.

This was originally just a sketch on a piece of 11x17 copy paper, but I ended up pulling out the pen and ink and playing around with it and trying to make myself better at inking. Happy with the outcome, I decided you test out oil pastels. I have never used oil pastels, just chalk pastels, which i have to say has some major difference. I'm pretty pleased with the outcome of it and I'm glad i didn't give up on this piece.

Nike Commission

well i guess it's not really a commission in the sense of getting payed for commission work. Painted this up for my girlfriend. Was her choice colors and i think it turned out pretty well.

Got another painting up on etsy and it's everyone's favorite little rat! PIKACHU! this one if a bit different from the previous mudkip I have made, the pikachu stencil called for some different colors so i ended up using spray paint and acrylics together to get exactly what I was looking for! The end result is this awesome 11x14 painting.

see the full canvas at my etsy site

BIDOOF!!!

So I have a friend that has beren begging me to do another Pokemon painting for him for his birthday. he wants a damn flygon... seriously... a Flygon.

I don't know if anyone has noticed but that's kinda out of my style, just not like "cutesy" enough for me. So I told him i would make Him a Bidoof. seems more fitting if you asked me. The weird Pokemon right next to say a Wobbuffet or a Wooper.
On one of the days I was working on some quick watercolors sketches in my book, he brought up the subject matter again, so I ended up painting a Bidoof and I figured I'd share it right you.

Katamari!!! NAAAA NANANA NANA

Hate to be that person that just gloats about new posts only about what they got for sale but, I got this crazy awesome Painting that I did of a Katamari Ball.

http://www.etsy.com/listing/45196541/katamari-drips

for those who don't know, Katamari or Katamari Damacy is a game from Japan made by Namco that is totally full of Drug induced images and game play. the concept of the game is to pretty much roll things up starting with small objects and slowly getting bigger and bigger to pick up bigger and crazier objects, kinda like a snowball effect.
i mean just look at that crazy intro!!

and justcheck out that gameplay

Needless to say, it's probably, the most fun I have ever had in a game and I find myself going back to it over and over again just to roll things up into a giant ball. Makes me giddily and puts a smile on my face every time!

If you own a ps2, ps3, psp, or an xbox 360, pick up a copy of one their many games. they are so addicting and entertaining!

Solved

I have a love for making stencils. They can be so relaxing to sit and cut out.
i really like the simplicity of the Rubik's cube and thought it would make an awesome stencil. And it is!

I never got the knack doing those Rubik's cubes. I've tried everything!!!. for this painting I decided I wanted those sides to be solved so they didn't irk me anymore!.

I've added it to etsy

Loved the colors, they just kind of flowed on to it perfectly. I made sure that the color scheme matched the original that I have so it didn't look to crazy... though it would look awesome if I Warhal'd it.

I herd that u liek...

I'm definitely big into the internet and what is has to offer, especially when it comes to inside jokes. When writing comics in my high school and early college years, I stuck to mostly to silly inside jokes because they were always personal. they were between my friend and I and as long as they laughed i enjoyed it. When I began using the internet, i grew very fond of 4chan and the meme's because it was a source of inside jokes that my close friends understood and would have us cracking up for ours over all the silly phrases and gifs we would find. The one that has always stuck was the mudkip joke.

It made me laugh every time. So what better way to share it with friends and family then to give everyone I know mudkip paintings!!!I kind of went on a rampage of creating these things around Christmas this year but I had been working on a stencil for it for a long time... well not really... more like I worked creating the parts of the stencil and never actually printed it, cut it, of put it together. It pretty much sat on my computer for over a year until I had this fantastic idea of what to do for a christmas for allmy friends while I'm COMPLETELY BROKE(due to the economy and the millions of designs without jobs BLAH BLAH BLAH...)! the outcome of a month worth of mudkips was four 11x14 inch and one 24x36 inch paintings.

Needless to say, my friends we very excited for them.

since then i created one for my sister (she wanted one for her birthday) and one for my friend's little sister (yet another birthday girl). I'm beginning to think these things are a hit. i have another one sitting around here in my bed room that i think I'm probably going to try to sell off of etsy, just need to finish up my account and get paypal working properly. I'm defiantly going to think about making more since i have had other request for these things as well. I never knew there were so many adults into Pokemon. =)
